So here it is

I'm Teri.

I've talked about this blog for awhile now, if for no other reason than to have an outlet to express my thoughts about day-to-day experiences. So I'm finally doing it. At a minimum, I promise to post every leap day!

I can't believe that I'm nearly 50. Most days I don't feel that old; some days I feel ancient. I'm a few pounds overweight; not as active as I should be or would like to be. I have more gray hair than I remember, but now I don't remember as much as I used to. I have borderline high blood pressure. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia after a car accident in the 1987, but I'm fairly functional (whatever that means).

I have one son (Mason) who's married to Cheerie. They have 2 sons: Rayden (5 1/2) and Braxton (3). I met my wonderful "near husband" (Greg) in January 2000, and we've lived together for around 6 years or so. He has 4 kids who still live with their mother.

After a lengthy battle with lung cancer, my stepdad passed away in July 2007 at the age of 80. My elderly mom, who hates being alone, has moved in with us, more or less. Her house is for sale in a BAD housing market, and all of her furniture is still there until the house is sold. If they're not antiques by now, they may be by the time the house sells. We've moved into a bigger house in a suburb of Denver, Colorado, to have enough room for everyone, so we'll be putting our house up for sale as well. So yes, we have not 2, but 3 mortgages! Whew!

Also joining us in the household are 4 dogs: 2 Rat Terriers (Scooter and Ceilidh) and 2 American Eskimo Dogs (Mogul and Blizzard). Both breeds are challenging. Ratties are cousins to Jack Russell Terriers, but not wound up quite so tight, thank God! Eskies are just naturally neurotic.

Greg has "a real job" as an electronics tech. His alter-ego, and our business together, is operating a pedicab fleet and training new operators across North America on how to run a business.

So that's about it. My life in a nutshell. Hope to share some good stories with you.
